Satwik SaiRaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty beat world no.2 pair Hoki and Kobay 24-22,15-21,21-14 to reach semifinals at World Badminton Championships.By beating Japanese pair in their own backyard,Indian duo confirmed their first medal at Worlds.However there was disappointment for other men’s doubles pair of M R Arjun and Dhruv Kapila as they lost to Ahsan and Setiawan in straight games.H S Prannoy also missed out on a medal after losing to Zhao of China 21-19,6-21,18-21.Prannoy suffered ankle injury early in the second game.

Football

Manchester United will face Real Sociedad in Europa league group phase while Arsenal have been clubbed in a group involving PSV Eindhoven.

Tennis

World no.1 Daniil Medvedev has been handed a tricky draw.Stefanos Tsistipas,Nick Kyrgios,Felix Auger Aliassimme are all in the top half of the draw.Four time winner Nadal and Alcaraz are in the bottom half.
