Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal reached prequarterfinals atbBWF World Championships in Tokyo on Tuesday.Saina beat Cheung Yi in straight games in her first round.However Nozomi Okuhara pulled out of the event due to injury paving the way for Indian to enter last 16 in women’s singles.Women’s doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand made a winning start.However it was disappontment for other Indians on Tuesday in men’s and mixed doubles.
