Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen advanced to second round of BWF World Champinships in Tokyo on Monday.Lakshya beat Hans Cristian Vittinghus in straight games.However B Sai Praneeth lost 4th ranked Chou Tien Chen in three games.Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy progressed in women’s doubles.

Croation Borna Coric climbed 123 places in ATP rankings on Monday after winning Cincinnati Masters.Coric beat Stefanos Tsistipas 7-6,6-2 in the final to become lowest ranked player to win Masters 1000 title.He is now ranked 29th in the world.
