Sixth seed Rafael Nadal continued his march towards record 21st Grand Slam title with 7-6,6-2_6-2 win over Adrian Mannarino in the fourth round of Australian Open on Sunday.Nadal will face Dennis Shapovalov of Canada in the quarterfinals.Canadian 14th seed upset world no.3 Alexander Zverev 6-3,7-6,6-3 to reach last eight.Top seed Ashleigh Barty reached quarterfinals in women’s singles after 6-4,6-3 win over Anisimova.M Sakkari and Badosa both bowed out in the fourth round. Sania Mirza and Rajeev Ram reached quarterfinals of mixed doubles.

Badminton

P V Sindhu beat Malvika Bansod 21-13,21-16 to win Syed Modi International in Lucknow.It was first title for double Olympic medallist Sindhu since 2019.Ishan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto won mixed doubles title.
