Saina Nehwal,H S Prannoy and Lakshya Sen all got off to a winning start at India Open Super 500 badminton tournament in New Delhi.Saina benefitted from retirement of Tereza in her opening match.Saina won the first game 22-20.In the second game her opponent withdrew due to injury.Women’s doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy also progressed.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran lost in the second round of Australian Open qualifiers on Wednesday.Indian lost 2-6,6-7 to Marterer of Germany.
