Mumbai Girl  Siya  wins Bronze at National Swimming Championhip –

SIYA DEVRUKHKAR won the Bronze Medal in the 50 meters Breaststroke Final at 36th Sub Junior & 46th Junior National Aquatic Championship (her first national meet) held at Rajkot, Gujarat (26/07 – 30/07). She clocked 42.30 seconds in the Final which was just 0.02 seconds slower than the second placed participant.

Siya is extremely humble and wants to thank many wellwishers and mentors  for their support and encouragement. She mentions , Chairman of Parbhodankar Thackery Sports Complex, Dr. Ramesh Prabhu, the President, Mr. Arvind Ramesh Prabhu and the Secretary Dr. Mohan Rane without whose support it would have been an impossible task to complete. Also she is thankful to her coach Mr. Sahdev Nevalkar for his keen and important guidance in shaping her skills with mental preparation.

Sia is student of Parle Tilak School (English medium), and appreciates the school’s support as well.

Siya is expected to achieve great heights in swimming at national and internaional level.
