In Cooch Behar U19 Trophy match in Anantapur, Rex Singh, a fast bowler from Manipur stormed into the limelight after picking all the 10 wickets in one innings. Singh, the young lad from Manipur reminded people of Irfan Pathan due to his pace, swing and rhythm in his bowling action as he dismissed the Arunachal Pradesh team for just 36 runs. The young bowler ended with stunning figures of 9.5-6-11-10 to restrict the opponent. On social media, there were many comparisons between the young seamer and the early days of Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.

Five of the left-armer’s dismissals were bowled and was on a hat-trick twice. One look at his dismissals was enough to deduce that Rex Singh has genuine pace, rhythm and swing.
