Twin strikes by Gita Das helped FC Mumbaikars easily cruise to a convincing 2-0 win against Future Stars in a Group A league match of the Western Indian Football Association Women’s Championship 2018 and played at the Cooperage Stadium.

The opportunistic striker Gita displayed excellent shooting skills and with a clinical finish hit the target in the very eighth minute to give FCM an early lead.

FC Mumbaikar continued to hold more of ball possession and create the better chances and just before the changeover center-back Puja, Das added to the tally scoring with a long shot in the 42nd minute and secure a healthy 2-0 half-time advantage.

In the second session, Gita scored another goal in the 72nd minute as FC Mumbaikars enjoyed complete domination and sailed through to a comfortable 3-0 margin of victory to mark their second successive win in the competition.
