Snooker: Devansh Jariwala, Omkar Gore ease into 3rd Round of Snooker Challenge ’18

Devansh Jariwala of Garware Club House and Omkar Gore from Chiplun, both enjoyed a good roll of the balls and easily won their respective best-of-five-frame second round encounters in the BSAM Grassroot Snooker Challenge 2018.

Jariwala potted fluently to brushed aside Bombay Gymkhana’s Rishi Sangani 3-0 (52-14, 61-42, 60-32), while Gore was steady with his shots and outshone Swaroop Pillai from Thane 3-0 (63-56, 60-23, 53-46), at the NSCI Billiards room.

Park Club’s Sanjiv Bijlani and Malabar Hill Club’s Nitin Banka also tasted comfortable second round success. The seasoned cueist Bijlani quelled the spirit challenge from Dhruv Pagaria by coasting to a 3-0 (56-32, 43-36, 55-41) victory, while Banka had a much easier time in getting the better of Otters Club’s Nilesh Sangar 3-0 (54-19, 46-33, 47-9) without much ado.
