Chaitanya shah upset top seed Tushar Shahani to advance into the final og the third Indian classic Junior Open squash tournament.Unseeded Chaitanya continued his giant killing spree by outclassing India No. 1 Shahani 11-6, 4-11, 14-12, 11-6 in the U-19 semifinal match at the Bombay Gymkhana glass-back squash courts on Wednesday. The Mumbai player will meet 16-year-old Goan sensation Yash Fadte in the final who beat second seed Rahul Baitha 8-11, 13-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-17 in a gruelling five game battle. Chaitanya started the game with confidence attacking Tushar and making him work for points, his strategy worked as Chaitanya took the first game by 11-6. Shahani took control of the second game eventually winning the game by 11-4. The third game was the most exciting encounter of the match with both players matching move for move reaching a 10-10 tiebreaker. Tushar’s could not hold off the attack from Chaitanya and lost the the third game 12-14. In the final game, Chaitanya kept it simple by moving a tired Tushar all around the court which heped him score points in quick succession and ultimately winning the game and the match by 11-6, 4-11, 14-12, 11-6.
