7 Batsmen who won have won the hearts this season in IPL 2018
This year has been interesting with not a single high paying name performing in VIVO IPL. Big names like Pollard, Maxwell, Pandya, Yusuf Pathan who are known to light up the IPL or players sold at exhorbitant prices like Jaydev Unadkat and so many other biggies like Rahane, Gambhir, Harbhajan, jadeja, Ashwin not playing at their best this season. This season has brought an emergence of a completely new group of exceptionally talented players and they are neither as ultra popular as these names nor the most expensive!
Kane Williamson (SRH)-
493runs so far at a batting average of 62.00 and a strike rate of 135 with 6fifties so far, Kane has changed the fortune of Sunrisers Hyderabad at the top order lending the much needed stability the team needed from him. Apart from his batting, he has been a fantastic leader too taking Hyderabad to the top of the table.
Prithvi Shaw (DD)-
The young 20yr old has taken apart the biggest of bowlers including the likes of Johnson and Boult out of the park with panache and superlative ease. The way he is striking the ball and his batting stance which resembles like a right handed version of Lara-This boy certainly looks all set for the bigger things in life. With 2fifties at an average of 36 and a SR of 135, he has proved to be a great opener so far for Delhi.
Suryakumar Yadav (MI)-
Over the years, this boy toiled hard at the middle order smashing those crucial 20”s and 30’s as he rarely got a chance to bat up the order. Luckily with MI, he got a chance to open and look at his stats-435runs at an average of 40.00 with 4fifties in 11matches making him at present amongst the top 5 run getters of this season.
Jos Butler (RR)-
Jos with his recent match winning 95* against CSK just completed his 4th fifty in a row equaling Kohli’s record. Striking at 150 with an average of 47 with 415runs and 4fifties so far, Jos has been sensational for RR and has been a backbone of their batting line up.
KL Rahul (KXIP)-
Classy Kl Rahul apart from the fastest ever IPL fifty in 14balls this season has given terrific starts in almost all the matches. With 471runs at an average of 59.00 in 10 matches at a strike rate of 157.00, he has been the game changer for Punjab and a perfect value for money player.
