Uttar Pradesh wins on the back of collective team perfomance in the 2nd day of Women’s Premier League ‘18

Played at the Shivaji Park, Dadar, Maharashtra took on Uttar Pradesh for a final time in the tournament where in Mahrashtra won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of making a big 1st innings total.
Mahrashtra batting first managed to score 136/4 in 20overs on the back of solid fifty by opener Priya Singh. Priya smashed 56 off 64 balls smashing 8fours to set the tone for the innings while the rest of the players batted around her to take the team total to 136. Priya looked solid as she middled the ball nicely. All-rounder Garima Yadav was the pick of the bowler taking 2/29 in 4overs.
Chasing 137, U.P did felt some early jitters with some quick wicket at the top order being lost. However, the middle order pair of Binita Yadav (37 off 31)& Garima Yadav 25* off 26balls cruised their team towards a thumping win.
Uttar Pradesh won the match by 5wkts in a thriller of a chase where the match went till the 3rd last ball of the innings and Garima Yadav with her all-round perfomance definitely stood out while Binita’s 37 was equally commendable.
