Chandigarh team on fire as skipper Mamta Kothiyal smashes a blazing ton in the Women’s T20 Premier League

The strong and confident looking skipper of Chandigarh already gave those impressions in the 1st match itself that she is a very capable players and today against Uttarakhand Mamta simply smashed a breath taking ton to set the ground on fire.
Mamta who scored her debut T20 debut ton at such a big platform against a state level team was all poise and grace as she smashed a very composed and intelligent knock of 101 off 71deliveries which included 14fours while also some excellent running between the wickets to keep the scoreboard ticking. In-form and Mrs.consistent Divya Sharma (52 off 43balls) once again smashed her 2nd consecutive half century stamping her class and authority all over. Both the batswomen stitched a 143 run stand which took the team total to 183/3 in 20overs.
Chasing 184 is always a task and Chandigarh bowlers as usually bowled tight and gave their best to skittle out Uttarakhand for 90runs all-out. The bowlers bowled at difficult line and length collectively where in Chammi and Ruchi Kapoor took 2wkts each while the rest of the bowlers were equally impressive.
Chandigarh win the match by 93runs and captain Mamta was declared ‘outstanding player of the match”. It was a great team perfomance by Mamta and her girls and it will surely be a intenseful day tomorrow to watch out for.
