While the big bull Chris Gayle scored a One day double smashing 215 off 147balls demolishing zimbabwe, Samuels on the other hand supported him well at the other hand to create a world record. Samuels also scored a ton and a history was recorded with the highest partnership ever for any wickets in ODI’s. Also Rahul Dravid making it twice into the list just shows how valuable and solid batsman he was for so many years for India. To all those who snubbed him as a test player, Dravid has been involved in a 300+ runs stand twice in ODI’s, still holds the record of 2nd fastest fifty in ODI’s and has over 10,000runs at an average of 40. And a 300 run stand that too in the 90’s where a target of even 250+ was a big deal is itself a commendable feat. The same applies to the Pakistani legends too Inzamam and Sohail who stitched a magnificent stand of 263runs as back as 24yrs ago. Azharuddin & Jadeja’s 275run stand in 1998 was also a big feat then. It also showed how great and dependable middle order we had for years.
