Alexis Sanchez transfer saga

Football fans all over the world are talking about Alexis Sanchez transfer saga these days. Sanchez is set to leave Arsenal in current transfer window, as it is confirmed by manager Arsene Wenger. Sanchez is strongly linked with Manchester city and Manchester United, and according to latest reports even Chelsea are interested in signing him. Let’s analysis this transfer in more detail.

1. Manchester City-
Sanchez has been linked to city since last years summer transfer window. City manager Pep Guardiola has worked with Sanchez in past while at Barcelona. Guardiola has always considered Sanchez a top player, but it will be difficult for Guardiola to put Sanchez directly in his starting eleven. Young players like Sterling, Sane and Gabriel Jesus have done really well for city this season, and they already have prolific goalscorer in Aguero. Guardiola is known to like players who can play in different positions instead of just one, and Sanchez can play in different positions, on either wings or as a target man up front. Reports are suggesting that Aguero might leave city in summer as he is reportedly unhappy with Guardiola, which will make Alexis Sanchez city’s top target.

Manchester United-
United surprisingly joined the race to sign Alexis Sanchez after opening of current transfer window. United’s manager Jose Mourinho has said repeatedly that United haven’t spend enough money compared to city. United were also chasing winger Ivan Perisic last year, but failed to secure his signature which certainly made Jose Mourinho unhappy. Sanchez will be great addition to United as they clearly lack firepower in front of goal. Young players like Rashford and Martial have done well for United but they are inconsistent. Arsenal reportedly want Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange for Sanchez, but Mkhitaryan is not willing to join Arsenal.

Chelsea-
After both Manchester clubs, Chelsea have also joined the race to sign Sanchez.
Chelsea have struggled this season, and they have missed plenty of scoring opportunities. Sanchez is known for his clinical finishing, which will certainly help Chelsea. Alvaro Morata was signed by Chelsea in summer, but so far he has not lived up to his expectations.
