India vs Sri Lanka 4th ODI

Colombo, India dominated Sri Lanka to extend their lead to 4-0 in the 5 Match ODI series. It was the 300 th ODI for Dhoni and also Acting Skipper Lasith Malinga also joined 300 wickets club. India won the toss and elected to bat. After losing Dhawan early, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma dominated the Sri Lankan attack. Both batsmen scored centuries. It was 29th ODI century scored by Kohli, the third most number of centuries after Tendulkar (49) and Ponting (30). India scored 375 runs in 50 overs. Dhoni and Manish Pandey also scored quiick fire 49  and 50 runs in death overs.
In reply Sri Lanka were all out for 207 runs. Anjelo Mathews was only one who scored 70 ruuns in the Lankan innings. For India Kuldeep Yadav, Bumrah and Pandya took 2 wickets each while debutant Shardul Thakur took 1.

Six  Under-23 footballers were named on Thursday in the 24 members squad for India’s Asian Cup qualifier against Macau on September 5.  The squad will depart for Macau from Mumbai on Friday.
