Saina Nehwal defeated Kirsty Gilmour 21-19,18-21,21-15 in the quarterfinals of World Badminton Championships in Paris thereby assuring another medal for India after Sindhu’s win earlier in the day.Saina won tight first game but made some unforced errors in the second which she lost 18-21.However she was in control leading comfortably throughout the third game.With this win Saina sets up semifinal clash with Okuhara who upset Olympic Champion Carolina Marin.We can certainly expect All Indian final for the first time ever at World Championships.
