Chelsea win -An exclusive review

Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-1 as Morcos Alonso scored twice for blues. An own goal from Michy Batshuayi made things difficult for Chelsea, but late winner from Alonso was enough to secure victory for them. Tottenham will be disappointed as they had more possession, and they also created more chances than Chelsea. Harry Kane had an excellent game for spurs, but his unfortunate record of never scoring in the month of August remained unbroken.
Chelsea were missing some key players, as Hazard is still injured.

They were also missing Gary Cahill and Csec Fabregas due to suspension. Tottenham won the battle in midfield, their pressing was excellent which made things difficult for Chelsea. Alvaro Morata missed an easy chance early in the game. Morata will surely take some time to settle in Premier League, but in terms of quality he is no match to Diego Costa. Chelsea’s new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko put in decent performance, but it will be hard for him to replace Nemanja Matic.

From the Tottenham’s point of the view they should have atleast taken a point away from this game. Victor Wanyama and Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris made easy mistakes, which lead to Chelsea’s second goal. Tottenham showed great energy for most of the game. Overall it was good performance from spurs and they will surely look to improve on it in upcoming games.
