With IPL waves becoming more hot than the Indian summer, a few stray thoughts for you once again.
Like IPL or not, cricket would have any ways survived but sans India, Champions Trophy would not have been exciting at all.
And that India threat, not to play champions League is a case of not only emotional but professional blackmailing of highest order as well.
And that The BCCI’s Committee of Administrators rightly thwarting the Indian threat and deciding to play in Champions League is a decision of highest order taken in the interest of world cricket.
And like only a statesman and clean man like Vinod Rai only could have enforced it on commercially blind BCCI.
And I am sure ,any other BCCI chief would have decided to opt out of Champions League just because sharing of revenues among all countries is going to be equal and not favouring filthy wealthy BCCI.
And that poorly paid West Indies team beating Pakistan in second cricket Test is as good news as money crazy and IPL obsessed Gayle’s RCB loosing match after match in IPL.
And that humble but dedicated coach Rahul Dravid joking that his team DD chased two hundred plus score “only because they did not watch his batting videos” is a just a lesson of ‘modesty and simplicity’ to youngsters .
And like Sachin’s saying “Rishabh Pant’s match winning innings for DD was best he has seen”, is nothing less than a door opening statement for selection in Indian team for young guy.
And that without watching IPL, anyone can predict ( apart from KKR and MI) two teams sure to enter Semi Finals. One being SRH, who kept rising up and up and another being Rising Pune who almost looked like setting all the time.
And that the two teams sure to be at bottom of the table would be high profile impassionately playing RCB XI and sadly low profile passionately fighting DD team.
See you next week with a few more stray comments and wild predictions about IPL winners.
