The second division I league match was played under floodlights at the Cooperage between city City based Kenkre FC And Lonestar Kashmir FC. This was a tight game where both teams did not allow the other to score. Though both teams were quick on their attacks and counter attacks, the forwards could not take advantage to convert the chances. The match ended in a well deserved draw with both teams sharing a point.
Kenkre FC as founded in 2000 under the patronage of former footballer and football coach Adib Kenkre and the CEO of the club Joshua Lewis. The city based club boasts of players from Guinea and Ivory Coast.
Lonestar Kashmir Football Club is the only professional Indian football club based in Jammu and Kashmir and they play in the 2nd Division I league. Head Coach of the Team is Hilal Rasool who is AFC PRO License Coach and Renowed coach Sajid Dar is Technical Director of the Club. Jammu & Kashmir have produced international players like Indian midfielder Mehrajudding Wadoo who has also played for Mumbai FC.
